The "Hurting" America

How many people do you know from our side of the fence that are willing to chill with a bunch of homeless guys when they could be at home in air conditioner or heater **depending the season** stressing out over how their myspace page is tricked out?

I mean, look at some of these pictures:

These people are hurting...

....doing nothing more than looking for something better....

....better than the lowest you can go...

....but still praying for the ungrateful world that has forgotten them...

How is it you can look at things like this and still brag about what you have? Why is it so much easier to look at your happiness instead of their hurt? So many people in this world need help. So many are calling out for an answer, for help, and you just may be able to.

The bed in this picture is the first bed Mark has slept in in 6 years!!

How awesome is that?

All they want are prayers. More is awesome, but prayers could change the world. Just more people praying, caring about their fellow man, forgetting the things of this world.

Matthew 6:19-21:

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for your selves treasures in heave3n, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Put your heart into faith, and your mind into prayer, just for a few moments, think about that verse, and just ask God to help the homeless who are hurting...who are hungry...who are lonely...who have lost everything...who need love...who are just as much human as the next person...

...who are just as important as HIM...
